Subject: Polymer pistol Wed Feb 21, 2007 1:47 am
I'm fanatical about a solid, well-built, and mil-spec 1911. Lately though, I've taking side-long glances at a polymer (once anathema to me) pistol, the Springfield XD or HS2000. What it lacks in beauty, it sure more than makes up for in functionality. What do you think of it?

Funny that you mention that rendy....I just bought the new XD .45acp service model 2 weeks ago. I LOVE IT!
Took it to the range last weekend, and had a blast! (no pun intended!)
Very easy to hold, and fire.

Well, well, seems like the XD is going places. Nice to have my research (yeah, I've been looking into it intently) substantiated by an actual owner. I was a bit afraid it was all marketing hype.
