Hi!
Anybody here heard about the Mountain Locator Unit? It's an electronic device, with some models having GPS capability, that continuously transmit a signal for rescue parties to pick up. Some models are small enough to fit in a pocket. They are costly, USD500-800 each, but can keep a rescue from becoming a recovery. Mighty useful for outdoor guys, especially the less experienced.
