Where is the best place to go fishing in Monroe County?

And what type of fishing is available?

Fishing! It's getting so close to going again...can't wait.

That question could be answered several different ways. Mainly because there are a large amount of private lakes around Monroe County. Most everyone that does any kind of fishing around here has a place they can go. My grandparents lake, which is only open for family, is the best place I know of to fish for largemouth bass. Most everyone has a private lake they can go to through friends and family.

As far as the more public lakes, you've got the Waterloo sportsman club lake, Water Works, and a couple others in the area.

All in all, there are PLENTY of spots to fish around here. I personally fish for largemouth bass. But there is also catfish, bluegill, carp, and a couple other varieties to fish for.

That sounds fantastic. It's marvelous that there are so many lakes available, and good that so many people have access to their own lakes.

It also sounds like there are a good variety of fish available.

The county is indeed a paradise for those who enjoy fishing.
